SUMMARY:How To Start Improving Audit Quality Webinar
DESCRIPTION:EventsHow to Start Improving Audit Quality Overview\nAll auditors aim to perform audit work of a high-quality standard\, but this does not always translate into the work documented on file. Improving audit quality starts with getting the basics right first. Regular monitoring reviews performed by experienced and objective reviewers assist with the identification of deficiencies in audit documentation. This enables auditors to determine the cause of the deficiencies and take the necessary action to improve audit quality going forward. Your firm may already have processes in place to respond to identified deficiencies\, but it is worthwhile to consider how to address some of the most common deficiencies identified in audit files. \nThis training will give participants an understanding of common deficiencies identified from monitoring reviews\, and examples of how to address it in practice. \nWhat You Will Learn\n\nCommon deficiencies identified in audit files\nWhy getting the basics right is fundamental to audit quality\nHow to identify and address the underlying causes of deficiencies\nPractical solutions for improving audit documentation\nCommon working paper deficiencies and how to avoid them\nPractical approaches to strengthening audit quality within the engagement team\n\nWho Should Attend?\nThis webinar is designed for: \n\nExternal auditors\nAudit partners and managers\nAudit seniors and trainees\nAudit quality and monitoring teams\nEngagement quality reviewers\nProfessionals responsible for audit methodology and compliance\n\nRegistration and Certification\nParticipants will receive a verifiable LEAF Certificate of attendance upon completion of the webinar.Where applicable\, this session may qualify for Continuing Professional Development (CPD/CPE) credits (subject to your local professional body requirements). \n \nRegistration:\n\n\nSecure your place by registering through the event page. SUMMARY:Third Edition of the IFRS for SMEs(R) Accounting Standard Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Third Edition of the IFRS for SMEs®: Prepare for 2027 Overview\nThe global financial reporting landscape for small and medium-sized entities (SMEs) is facing its most substantial change in over a decade. The third edition of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard\, issued in February 2025\, introduces significant amendments that enhance relevance\, simplify application and align the SMEs Accounting Standard more closely with full IFRS Accounting Standards in key areas. Application is mandatory for reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2027 and most changes apply retrospectively — so\, with 2026 as the comparative period\, preparation should begin well before the effective date. Underestimating the transition carries real consequences: prior-period restatements\, transition errors\, modified audit opinions\, eroded stakeholder confidence\, non-compliance penalties and avoidable operational disruptions. \nThis webinar will give participants an understanding overview of the significant changes to the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Sstandard and how auditors can prepare for the implementationthe expected impact – and what they mean for auditors and their clients as the 2027 effective date approaches. \nWhat You Will Learn\n\nThe key changes introduced by the Third Edition of the IFRS for SMEs® Accounting Standard\nThe background and scope of the Second Comprehensive Review (SCR)\nThe IASB’s approach to aligning the SMEs Accounting Standard with full IFRS Accounting Standards\nThe effective date and transition requirements\, including the implications of retrospective application\nThe sections of the standard that have undergone major amendments\nThe sections that have undergone minor amendments\nKey considerations for implementing the Third Edition\nThe potential impact of the changes on you and your SME clients\nSupporting implementation materials provided by the IASB\nWhat you should consider now to prepare for the 1 January 2027 effective date\n\nWho Should Attend?\nThis webinar is designed for: \n\nAuditors and audit managers\nAccountants and financial reporting professionals\nFinance managers and financial controllers\nPartners and directors responsible for SME engagements\nAccounting and audit trainees\nProfessionals responsible for preparing or reviewing SME financial statements\nAdvisors supporting clients with IFRS for SMEs® implementation and transition\nAnyone who needs to prepare for the 1 January 2027 effective date\n\nRegistration and Certification\nParticipants will receive a verifiable LEAF Certificate of attendance upon completion of the webinar.Where applicable\, this session may qualify for Continuing Professional Development (CPD/CPE) credits (subject to your local professional body requirements). \n \nRegistration:\n\n\nSecure your place by registering through the event page.
